Empowering Parents, Enriching Children
What is Parent Coaching?
Parent Coaching is a personalized support process that empowers parents of neurodiverse students with strategies, resources, and guidance to effectively support and advocate for their children at home.
Our Parent Coaching program offers practical guidance on a variety of topics, including behavior management, communication strategies, fostering independence, navigating the education system, and understanding and advocating for their child's rights and needs.
At the WHILDE Method
Empower parents to understand their child's unique neurodiversity: We help parents gain a deep understanding of their child's neurodiversity, including its strengths, challenges, and learning styles. This understanding will enable parents to effectively support their child's development and advocate for their needs.
Develop personalized support strategies: We Provide tailored guidance and strategies to parents, ensuring they have the most effective tools to support their child's unique needs and challenges.
Build collaborative partnerships with educators: Emphasize the importance of collaboration and provide strategies for parents to build strong partnerships with their child's teachers. This collaboration ensures that parents and educators are working together to create a consistent and supportive learning environment.
Navigate the education system effectively: We guide parents on navigating the education system, including understanding special education rights, advocating for appropriate accommodations, and working effectively with school administrators and support personnel. This support empowers parents to ensure their child receives the necessary resources and interventions.
Promote self-advocacy and independence: Empower students to communicate their needs and advocate for themselves by fostering self-advocacy skills in neurodiverse students and providing strategies for parents to support this development.
Who is Parent Coaching For?
Parent Coaching at The WHILDE Method is specifically designed for families who have unique and diverse needs, particularly focusing on those with neurodiverse children and those facing executive function challenges. Our program is tailored to meet the needs of parents who are seeking effective ways to support and advocate for their children in both their personal and academic lives. Here's how our Parent Coaching is beneficial for these families:
Families with Neurodiverse Children: Parents of neurodiverse children often face unique challenges that require specialized understanding and strategies. Our coaching provides these parents with the tools and knowledge they need to understand and effectively support their child's neurodiversity, recognizing their strengths, challenges, and individual learning styles.

Seeking Personalized Support: We understand that every child and family is different. Our Parent Coaching is not a one-size-fits-all solution but a personalized approach that caters to the specific needs and circumstances of each family.
Navigating the Education System: Parents who need guidance on navigating the education system, understanding special education rights, and advocating for appropriate accommodations will find our coaching invaluable. We provide the necessary support and guidance to ensure that their child receives the right resources and interventions.
Fostering Independence and Self-Advocacy: Our approach is also geared towards empowering students to communicate their needs and advocate for themselves.
